Nintendo was sending free developer kits to small scale game designers,Prior to the Wii’s release. Following that, they announced that indie game designers could get their hands on these kits for less than two thousand dollars. All this made it obvious that Nintendo was opening the door to fresh talent and ideas. Of course, not just anyone can get involved with video game design at Nintendo, as there are still many requirements that have to be met. Here are just a few of them.
To start with, you have to be a qualified developer to get authorized by Nintendo if you want to design games for them. This requires showing proof of previous development work for Nintendo or even on other platforms. Furthermore, you have to provide details about your business and convince Nintendo that you have secure offices and the equipment, the staff and money needed to fund and complete game development. If you think you can get permission to develop games for Nintendo by yourself out of a home office, you are off your rocker.
If your company makes it through this intense screening process, you might be invited to become an authorized designer. Be prepared to sign off on many non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements at this point. Nintendo is very strict about protecting its technical information and know-how and you will be expected to hold up your end of the bargain. In fact, you will be legally bound to do so.
Once you become an authorized developer, you will have access to Nintendo’s developer resources. This includes private websites where you can interact with other developers. It also means you’ll be able to purchase the necessary software development tools such as the Wii dev kit. Keep in mind, development costs will require thousands of dollars in hardware, and plenty of time. Even for a fairly simple and inexpensive title, indie publishers usually require at least several people on the development team and several months of work before a new game is ready for release.
Finally, it is important to keep in mind that not every title will be a hit, or even profitable. Because of this, game designers should have the financial backing to have several titles in the works at any one time. By doing this, the company’s risk is spread and it becomes more likely that at least one of the titles you release will be profitable.
As you can see, although Nintendo has lowered the barrier to entry, getting into game design at Nintendo is only for those who are truly ready. If you are just starting out with your game design passion, maybe try working for one of the many indie game developers that are already partnered with the Nintendo corporation before you try launching your own design company.

Because of excessive heat… your xbox 360 freezes…
…want to know more?
It’s freezing up is a huge warning sign you are about to learn what the red ring of death is and how it effects 360 consoles.
Inside your xbox 360 is a massive amount of heat. And it uses certain mechanisms to cool itself.
Heats sinks move the heat away to prevent over heating the mother board. It needs a way to remain cool and one of the ingenious ways Microsoft uses to keep it cool is by soldering heat sinks to the mother board.
The heat is removed from the system internally with a small fan inside and the heat sinks help reduce temperatures.
The reasons it may be over heating and freezeing are:
- The soldering joints which were used when it was assembled were not the most effective material they could of used. They become worn down through hours of exposure to the heat and slowly loosen. As they become loose, the heats sinks stop removing heat from it and everything starts to freeze up.
- The fan inside stopped working and causing it to over heat.
I can almost bet your xbox 360 freezes after a few hours and it begins to over heat. And you might be heading for some more serious problems if you don’t get it fixed as soon as possible.

Xbox 360 is the wonderful gaming device that is popular among people of all ages throughout the world. Since its introduction from the year 2005 during the Christmas time, it gave a tough competition to its competitor, that is, Sony’s Playstation 2. In spite of being a good and compatible console, it has its own flaws. When played for a long time, the Xbox 360 console gets easily overheated. This results in showing 2 red lights error.
The flashing 2 red lights on the power button of the console indicate that your graphics card is damaged for sure. The overheating of the console damages the graphics card and to avoid the further damage, your console malfunctions and shows the pesky 2 red lights blinking on the power ring. This error is common to the Xbox 360 gamers and can be easily fixed by the following two ways.
The first way to fix your favorite Xbox 360
If your console is under warranty, then send your console to the Microsoft. The Microsoft service center will repair the console free of charge for you. The flipside of this matter is that you will be out of your mind with boredom, because the repair will take around a month and until that you are left without gaming.
The second way to fix your Xbox 360
If you are out of warranty, then hand over your console to the third party repair service so that they will fix your Xbox 360 2 red lights error problem

There exists some ephemeral quality that separates gamers from the rest of humanity, some thing that makes us, us and them, not us. I’ve never been able to quite put my finger on it, but it is inescapably there.
Today, in hopes of moving closer to that essential quality of gamerosity, we examine part of what makes us tick. In particular, we take a look at what draws different types of gamers to the hobby. Every gamer plays for different reasons, but there are common threads that tie the experience together.
Many gamers are motivated by the challenge a game can present. Success in a game may be governed by any of a wide variety of abilities. A First Person Shooter requires twitch reflexes, a steady hand and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A word puzzle game may require an extensive vocabulary and the ability to rethink the uses of old words, but no measure of speed. A sports simulation might well require an in-depth knowledge of the topic, in addition to arcade skill, but is unlikely to have terribly much concern for linguistic acumen.
The common thread is that all of the games challenge some subset of a player’s abilities. This challenge can be a powerful motivator. The Challenge Motivated gamer is drawn to a game that tests their skills, preferably one that tests them to their limits.
The gamer may also be motivated by the natural improvement that comes from working at peak. They are driven then, not only to excel, but to improve. Challenge Motivated Gamers thrive whenever a game pushes their skill set of choice, but may be disinterested in games that fall too far away from the target.
Competition is a close cousin of challenge. Many gamers are driven by the need to prove they are the best, to be pitted against their fellows and come out on top. Competition minded gamers range from those looking for a challenge in a fair fight to the sort of win-at-all cost leet speaking infants that give us all a bad name.
Competition can be easy to take too far. There is nothing inherently wrong with being driven by competition. To some extent, competition is merely challenge taken to the extreme. It is only when it leads to mistreating your fellow player that it begins to become less a motivation and more an unfortunate personality quirk.
Competition Motivated players thrive on those games where they are pitted against one another with the outcome dictated by skill at playing the game. They will often wane in those environments that either require cooperation, such as many MMORPGs, or in games where skill plays a much smaller role, such as in less sophisticated card or dice games.
