You hear all the hype – all the time. PS3 is the best – no, forget that, it has to be the Wii, or no, no, no, it’s the Xbox guys. You know what? I’m here to lay the hype to rest. The best system is the Xbox 360 and this article will give you 10 solid reasons explaining why. Ready…

Now don’t get me wrong, gaming systems from Sony and Nintendo are good – solid titles, graphics yada yada yada. BUT, when it comes to really getting the maximum out of your gaming system than the Xbox 360 has them all beat.

In the Xbox 360, Microsoft has created a beast that just keeps getting better and better. Sure, they are problems with some of the technology, but then again, show me a piece of technology that always runs perfectly and I’ll eat my Xbox!

The Fifth Generation Computer Gaming Console called the Sony PlayStation first came out in Japan on December 3, 1994, and was first available in the United States on September 1, 1995. The Sony PlayStation is a thirty-two bit computer gaming system, unlike Sony’s more recent offspring! The top selling computer game, at that time, was “Gran Turismo”.

By March of 2005, the Sony PlayStation had already shipped a total of over one hundred million units, becoming the first in-home computer gaming system to ever reach the one hundred million unit mark (as far as sales go.)
The Sony PlayStation Two is Sony’s second computer game console, the successor to the original Sony PlayStation, and the predecessor to the Sony PlayStation Three. Its’ development was announced in March of 1999, and was released in Japan on March 4, 2000, and later in the United States on Oct 26, 2000. The system storage, as in the case of the original Sony PlayStation, was by means of the memory card; the controller input, however, with the Sony PlayStation Two, is the “Dual Shock Two”. There was just over thirty-seven million units sold in the United States, and there was over one hundred seventeen million units shipped worldwide. The top selling computer game on this particular computer gaming console was “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City”. The Sony PlayStation Two also has a “backwards compatibility” feature so that you can play the Sony PlayStation One computer games with the Sony PlayStation Two.

“The Next Generation” of the Sony PlayStations, the Sony PlayStation Three, is the third computer game console produced by the Sony Computer Corporation. At the time this article was written the successor to the Sony PlayStation Two, the Sony PlayStation Three, was in third place in a worldwide competition with the two other so-called “Next Generation” gaming consoles, the “Wii”, and the Microsoft XBox 360.The Sony PlayStation Three was first released on November 11, 2006, in Japan, and shortly thereafter on November 17, 2006, in the United States. Its primary storage media is the “Blue-Ray Disc”, and it runs “SACD’s”, DVD’s, and CD’s. It also puts out high-definition video for computer games and movies, supporting up to 1080p HD resolution. It is available in two configurations, the 20 GB Basic Model, and the 60 GB Premium Model, but Sony discontinued the latter model in North America on April 11, 2007, due to a lack of consumer demand.
